Free Car Inspection
Every car gets a full diagnostic scan before we quote. You see the readout and the fault codes whether you go ahead or not.

Engine work is where shortcuts cost the most. Every job runs to the manufacturer’s own procedure and torque values, on equipment that reads the car the way the dealer’s does.
What we repair
From a single coil pack to a full rebuild on the stand. Everything is done in our own workshop — we do not sublet engine work.
Why A to Z
Every car gets a full diagnostic scan before we quote. You see the readout and the fault codes whether you go ahead or not.
We collect from your home or office and bring the car back when it is done. No lift to arrange, no waiting room.
A workshop near you and shorter waiting times. Your service history follows you between every branch.

Cheap to run, but timing and oil control age first.

Compact V. Rear-bank access is the real cost.

Hot-V turbos run huge heat — our most common V8 job.

High-revving. Measured with plastigauge, never by feel.

Twelve cylinders. Signed post-build road test on every job.

Rear-mounted, own discipline. 964 to 992, IMS included.

The fault we see most. Heat cokes the bearing oil.

Two turbos, two failure points. Always fitted as a pair.

Belt-driven. Caught early it is only the nose unit.

Long-lived, but the emissions hardware is the cost.

Petrol plus high voltage. Isolated before anything is touched.

Transfer cases and diffs, beaten up by dune use.
Our process
Book in under a minute and we collect the car from your home or office. No lift to arrange and no waiting room.
Certified technicians run a full diagnostic scan and send you the readout with a fixed quote. Nothing is touched until you approve it.
The work is carried out to manufacturer procedures, road-tested twice, then the car is washed and returned to your door.
Warning signs
Most engine failures give warning long before they become expensive. If you recognise any of these, book a diagnosis — catching it early is usually the difference between a repair and a rebuild.
Coverage
Petrol, diesel and hybrid, from everyday family cars to performance and prestige marques. If your car is not listed, call and ask — the list is not exhaustive.
FAQs
We charge a flat diagnostic fee, and if you go ahead with the repair it comes off the final bill. You get the scan report either way, so you are free to take it elsewhere. Call us for the current figure.
It depends on the damage and the car's value. As a rule, if the block and crank are sound we rebuild; if the block is cracked or the crank is beyond regrind, a replacement unit is usually cheaper. We give you both figures and let you decide.
No. Servicing and repair at an independent workshop does not void a manufacturer warranty, provided the work follows the specified schedule and uses parts of matching quality. We log everything in a digital service record so your history stays complete.
If it is steady and the car drives normally, short journeys are usually fine — but get it read soon. If it is flashing, stop and call us. A flashing light means raw fuel is reaching the catalytic converter, and that turns a cheap repair into an expensive one very quickly.
Diagnosis is the same day. Coils, plugs and most oil leaks are one to two days. Timing chains are one to two days, head gaskets two to four, and a full rebuild one to three weeks depending on machining and parts. We give you a date with the quote.
We fit the best aftermarket parts as standard — in most cases these are made by the same manufacturers that supply the car makers. Where a genuine part is the better choice, we say so and quote both. You always choose.
Work stops and we call you with photos, the cost, and what happens if it is left. Nothing extra gets done without your approval — we never carry out work you have not agreed to.
Tell us the symptom and we will tell you what it is likely to be before you bring the car in. Diagnosis is the same day, and the quote is fixed.
