Steering rack repair
Leaking, worn and knocking racks repaired or replaced, then aligned to specification.

Steering faults are safety faults, and we treat them that way. Every car goes on the ramp and gets a fixed quote before anything is touched.
What we do
Everything below is done in our own workshop by our own technicians, with a written quote before any work starts.
Leaking, worn and knocking racks repaired or replaced, then aligned to specification.
Pumps, hoses, fluid leaks and reservoir contamination on hydraulic systems.
EPS motors, torque sensors and control module faults read on live data.
Play in the outer joints causing wander and uneven tyre wear.
Universal joints, couplings and adjustment mechanisms that knock or stick.
Four-wheel laser alignment after any steering work, included as standard.
When to book

Why us
Steering complaints get misdiagnosed constantly because several different faults feel similar from the driver seat.
Warning signs
These faults creep up gradually, so the car feels normal until it is compared to a good one. Watch for these.
Our process
No work begins until you have seen the problem and approved the price. If we find something extra, it stops and comes back to you.
You point out the fault as it happens rather than describing it.
Every joint, boot and mounting checked for play and leaks.
Photos of the worn parts and a clear price before any work.
Replaced, aligned to specification, and road tested again.
Why A to Z
Every car gets a full diagnostic scan before we quote. You see the readout and the fault codes whether you go ahead or not.
We collect from your home or office and bring the car back when it is done. No lift to arrange, no waiting room.
A workshop near you and shorter waiting times. Your service history follows you between every branch.
FAQs
It depends where the play is. A worn track rod end is a serious safety concern because it carries the steering load. Play in a column coupling is less urgent. That is exactly what the free check tells you.
On hydraulic systems, low fluid or a failing pump. On electric systems, usually an EPS fault stored in the module. Both need diagnosing rather than topping up and hoping.
Always. Replacing any steering or suspension component changes the geometry angles. We include four-wheel alignment as standard after steering work.
Depends on the fault. Leaking seals and bushes can often be repaired. Internal wear causing knock usually means replacement. We quote both where a repair is realistic.
Tell us what the car is doing and we will tell you what it is likely to be before you bring it in. Quotes are fixed and in writing.
