Coolant flush and replace
Old coolant drained, system flushed and refilled with the correct specification fluid.
Cooling system
Coolant is the most neglected fluid in the car and the one that does most damage when it fails. In 45°C heat, an overheating engine goes from warning light to head gasket very quickly.

Coolant is the most neglected fluid in the car and the one that does most damage when it fails. Every system is pressure tested, vacuum filled and heat cycled before it leaves.
What we do
Everything below is done in our own workshop by our own technicians, with a written quote before any work starts.
Old coolant drained, system flushed and refilled with the correct specification fluid.
System evacuated and filled under vacuum so no air pocket is left behind.
Cap and system tested to find leaks that only appear when hot and pressurised.
Replaced together where access makes it sensible, with a new gasket every time.
Blocked radiators, perished hoses and cracked expansion tanks replaced.
Combustion gas testing where overheating suggests the gasket has already gone.
When to book

Why us
Mixing coolant types causes gelling that blocks the radiator. Filling without a vacuum leaves air pockets that cause localised overheating.
Warning signs
Overheating is the fastest way to turn a small fault into a rebuild. These are the warnings that come first.
Our process
No work begins until you have seen the problem and approved the price. If we find something extra, it stops and comes back to you.
System tested cold and hot to locate any leak before work starts.
Old coolant removed and the system flushed of contamination.
Refilled under vacuum with the correct specification coolant.
Run to temperature, bled, and level rechecked before hand back.
Why A to Z
Every car gets a full diagnostic scan before we quote. You see the readout and the fault codes whether you go ahead or not.
We collect from your home or office and bring the car back when it is done. No lift to arrange, no waiting room.
A workshop near you and shorter waiting times. Your service history follows you between every branch.
FAQs
Most manufacturers specify every four to five years, but in this climate we suggest checking condition annually. Coolant loses its corrosion inhibitors over time even if it still looks clean.
In an emergency to get home, yes. But water alone has no corrosion protection and a lower boiling point, so it must be replaced with correct coolant as soon as possible.
At speed there is airflow through the radiator. In traffic you depend on the cooling fan and a clean radiator core. Blocked fins or a weak fan shows up exactly then.
No. Pull over and let it cool. Continuing to drive an overheating engine warps the cylinder head, and that turns a hose repair into a head gasket job.
Tell us what the car is doing and we will tell you what it is likely to be before you bring it in. Quotes are fixed and in writing.
