FAQs
Depending on the product and how the car is stored and washed, typically two to five years. Cars kept outside in full sun need more frequent maintenance than garaged cars.
Machine polishing removes a small amount of clear coat, which is why we measure paint depth first. Done correctly and infrequently it is entirely safe.
Scratches within the clear coat come out. If you can catch a fingernail in it, the scratch has gone through to the base coat and needs paint, not polish. We tell you which is which before starting.
Two-bucket method with a clean mitt, or a reputable hand wash. Avoid automatic brush washes entirely — they put the swirls straight back.
